About Nutri-Vet
Nutri-Vet is a veterinarian-formulated pet supplement and wellness brand now part of Compana Pet Brands. The company builds its line around what it calls Amounts That Count, labeling meant to show pet owners the actual measured level of each active ingredient rather than a vague proprietary blend, and its products are formulated without fillers, phthalates, xylitol, by-products, or FD&C Red No. 40. Nutri-Vet's catalog spans both dogs and cats, covering hip and joint support, digestion, skin and coat, dental and wound care, and hairball remedies.
The company markets under the line "Made by Vets, Craved by Pets," and states its products are formulated by veterinarians with traceable ingredient origins and a money-back guarantee. In 2024, Nutri-Vet's Functional Biscuits with Glucosamine for Dogs won the Best Dog Treats, Baked category at Pet Business's Industry Recognition Awards, third-party trade recognition for the brand's functional-treat formulations.

Why we recognized Nutri-Vet
The House of Mittens Top Brand recognition isn't paid for and can't be applied for. We award it to the brands whose products consistently stand out in our vet-reviewed category guides. Nutri-Vet earned it on the strength of the products below, evaluated the same way every product on this site is: assessed against feline-health criteria, used with real cats, and judged on merit.
Nutri-Vet products we rated highly
Nutri-Vet Hairball Gel for Cats, Salmon Flavor, 3 oz
A petroleum-free hairball gel built on soybean and coconut oil rather than petrolatum, which is the specific thing owners searching for a natural remedy are usually looking for. In our review, owners reported it working for both long-haired and short-haired cats, and the salmon flavor was well accepted, which matters because acceptance is the hardest part of giving any gel. It is formulated to NASC standards and made in the USA, a manufacturing signal most hairball brands do not offer, and it carries a review base of more than 5,800 ratings at 4.1 stars.
