About Zoetis
Zoetis is an animal health company. Its own site says it discovers, develops, manufactures and commercializes vaccines, medicines, diagnostics, biopharmaceuticals and digital solutions for companion animals and livestock. The name comes from "Zoe," the Greek word for life, which the company describes as a reminder that sustaining and improving life through science is the foundation of what it does.
Zoetis was formerly the animal health business of Pfizer. Its history page records that Pfizer announced the business would become a standalone company called Zoetis, that Zoetis completed its initial public offering in February 2013, and that Pfizer then sold its minority stake. The global headquarters is in Parsippany, New Jersey, and the company's research and development headquarters is in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where it also manufactures Revolution Plus. For cat owners dealing with parasites, Revolution Plus is the Zoetis product on our cat dewormer page.

Why we recognized Zoetis
The House of Mittens Top Brand recognition isn't paid for and can't be applied for. We award it to the brands whose products consistently stand out in our vet-reviewed category guides. Zoetis earned it on the strength of the products below, evaluated the same way every product on this site is: assessed against feline-health criteria, used with real cats, and judged on merit.
Zoetis products we rated highly
Revolution Plus Topical Solution for Cats, 11.1-22 lbs, 6-Month Supply
Selamectin and sarolaner in one monthly topical that covers roundworms, hookworms, heartworm prevention, fleas, ticks and ear mites. Because it goes on the skin at the back of the neck, there is no pilling a cat. Removing fleas also breaks the route by which cats pick up the common flea tapeworm, so it prevents reinfection rather than clearing a tapeworm a cat already has. It is a prescription product that needs your veterinarian's authorisation, and this pack is the 11.1 to 22 lb weight band.

- Makes Revolution Plus, a once-monthly topical combining selamectin and sarolaner, featured on our cat dewormer page.
- One monthly application covers roundworms, hookworms, heartworm prevention, fleas, ticks and ear mites.
- Zoetis states that Revolution Plus prevents flea tapeworm infection by killing fleas, which is the transmission route for the common feline tapeworm.
- Revolution Plus is applied to the skin instead of given by mouth, which suits cats that resist pilling.
- It is dispensed on a veterinarian's prescription, so a vet checks that it suits the individual cat.
