About Snuggle Kitty
Snuggle Kitty comes from Smart Pet Love, the company behind the original Snuggle Puppy heartbeat toy. Snuggle Puppy was created in 1997 by a dog breeder who built a heartbeat-and-warmth toy to ease the stress of puppies leaving their litter. Smart Pet Love later extended the same idea to cats as a sibling line, Snuggle Kitty, which pairs a battery-powered Real-Feel heartbeat unit with a disposable heat pack inside a plush body sized for a kitten.
Snuggle Kitty is built around the moments a kitten is most likely to be alone for the first time: orphaned litters, bottle-baby fosters, and newly adopted kittens spending their first nights away from their mother and littermates. The heartbeat unit runs in an 8-hour or 24-hour mode and is meant to be removed before unsupervised use, and the heat pack is a single-use insert rather than a built-in heating element. The listing notes it is used by kitten fosters and shelters. It's the comfort toy that earned Snuggle Kitty its place in our kitten toys reviews.

Why we recognized Snuggle Kitty
The House of Mittens Top Brand recognition isn't paid for and can't be applied for. We award it to the brands whose products consistently stand out in our vet-reviewed category guides. Snuggle Kitty earned it on the strength of the products below, evaluated the same way every product on this site is: assessed against feline-health criteria, used with real cats, and judged on merit.
Snuggle Kitty products we rated highly
Snuggle Kitty Heartbeat Comfort Toy
A removable heartbeat unit with 8-hour and 24-hour modes gives a newly separated kitten a rhythm to settle against in its first nights, and a disposable heat pack in the belly pouch adds warmth on top of that. The listing notes it is used by kitten fosters and shelters, which matches how we see it used in practice. It is a comfort object rather than a play toy, and the plush is machine washable once the heart unit and heat pack are removed.
